is editor of the poetry magazine The Other Mexico. Has exercised the criticism of poetry in the cultural supplement of the newspaper El Pais in Montevideo since 1994. He has also written for other newspapers in Montevideo, Tropic Magazine, Folha de São Paulo and Mexico's La Jornada newspaper. In June 2010 was international jury Ibero-American Poetry "Pablo Neruda" next to Ernesto Cardenal and Arturo Corcuera, Santiago de Chile.
